K4 through Primary students have skating lessons beginning at 2pm in the afternoon April 1, 3, 8, 15, 17, 24. These are Tuesdays and Thursdays, except during parent conferences, of course. We leave for the rink at 1:40pm (K4) and 2:05 (K5, Primary). Thank You to all the parents! Your help driving and at the rink is very much appreciated!

Hello Cobb Street Students, Teachers, and Parents!
Welcome to the Cobb Street Online Learning Environment (aka The Virtual Classroom). I'm enjoying installing and configuring the software that runs this site. It is powered by free Moodle software (distance-learning software; check out moodle.org for more information) and hosted on eyemana.com, also free of charge. I'd like to thank Martin Dougimas for making this software available for everyone to use. I would have put this on Cobb Street's official website, but that site doesn't support the technologies needed to run this software. So, for now, you'll have to either bookmark this site, or click Virtual Classroom from the main Cobb Street site.
You are welcome to come on in and try out the features, check out the classes, post assignments, ask questions of the instructors, submit suggestions. I will be most satisfied when people are actively using this site to turn in homework, work in teams on research projects, get their next week's spelling words, take quizzes, whatever! Check out the moodle documentation if you're interested in finding out what the possibilities are. And check back often for updates, assignments, or to communicate with your classmates when you're not in school.
Oh yeah. I should mention that this is a school website! Everything you do on this website is subject to review by authorized teachers and administrators. Please remember the rules for using school computer resources. Those rules apply here!
Well, have fun and respond to this forum topic with ideas or questions you have regarding this site.
Thanks, Ian Evans Teacher at Cobb Street School (PE, Computers, Algebra) |
